The cultural properties are our invaluable assets, which have been nurtured, protected and inherited ever since they were created up to now through the long history of our country.
The cultural properties include structures such as temples and shrines, sculptures (Buddhist statues), pictures, archives, festivals (folk events), ruins, precious animals and plants, and also the skills to protect them.
In Isehara, we have 65 national, prefectural and municipal designated cultural properties, 10 national registered cultural properties and 4 municipal registered cultural properties.
The cultural properties in Isehara city
Shishi-gashira (Lion’s Head) kept in Hojo-bo has been designated as a national important cultural property (a tangible cultural property) and also prefectural important cultural property (a tangible folk cultural property).
